Award winning Hawai’i artist – Suzanne Dix-Kaliko
“Creating art has been my primary focus in life. As a student at Pratt Institute I was exposed to classical training in painting & drawing – principles I’ve maintained and taught ever since.
I use different mediums: oils, acrylics, watercolors and pastels. It depends on where I am & what my surroundings demand. Starting a painting on location is conducive to watercolors & acrylics whereas pastels & oils are reserved for studio work.
Nature is my primary source of inspiration in oil painting, so experiencing Hawai`i is constantly stimulating my creative juices. Everywhere one looks there are amazing vistas, brilliant colors and glorious exotic beauty. Eye candy deluxe! ”
