Taiko Drummer. The Bon dance is a Japanese Buddhist custom to honor the Spirits of ones ancestors. During this ceremony there is a custom to send up light lanterns into the sky. Each lantern has a prayer attached to it; sending it to our Loved ones and ancestors of the past . The Taiko Drummer is a part of this ceremony Involving the dance and the intentions of connecting with the past through in the sound of the drum.
The Taiko Drum is huge , as the drum is struck it sends energy throughout the land. See in your minds eye and imagine the clear night sky filled with stars as the prayers are sent up in unison. Tears fall as the vibration and energy of our intentions permeate the air and the knowing of prayers Answered.
Imagine now this painting at the end of your hall way with the light shining on it just right showing the strength and the intensity of the Taiko Drummer, reminding you that everything is vibration. Energy in motion. As is Art- each piece has its own vibration and will call to you , and you’ll know you have to have it .
